ProCare Therapy is actively searching for a committed Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join an exciting job opportunity in Smithtown, NY. Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: Smithtown, NY
Employment type: Part-time/ 1 ( Maybe 2) hrs. a week 
Caseload: One Highschool Student 
 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Current State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Teacher of the Visually Impaired or can obtain a (New York) State Teaching Certificate.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments (school setting experience is advantageous)
• Proficiency in braille reading and writing, as well as assistive technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
